Captain Vance and the Frontier7 // Ai / Cartoon
Frontier7 is a fully produced Hanna-Barbera style animated short created using a custom AI production pipeline built by Nexus Motion. The cartoon runs as a recurring segment inside Relay7, a retro TV station simulation.
The goal was to go from a written script to a finished animated short without a traditional animation team. Our system handles the entire production chain: script parsing and shot breakdown, empty scene generation using a plate model (one background per unique camera angle, reused across multiple cuts), character placement with reference sheet consistency, a style pass that locks in the retro aesthetic (limited color palette, halftone textures, off-register printing, film grain), voice performance through ElevenLabs with per-character voice profiles, lip-synced animation, and final export as an XML timeline ready for Premiere Pro.
Every stage in the pipeline includes an approval gate. Nothing moves forward without a creative sign-off. The system handles file management, API orchestration, asset versioning, and organization. The human handles storytelling and creative direction.
The pipeline is preset-based, not hardcoded. The Frontier7 cartoon uses one configuration, but the same engine can produce entirely different formats, styles, and output types by swapping the preset. This makes it a repeatable production tool, not a one-off experiment.
If your brand needs animated content, explainer videos, episodic series, or stylized video assets and you want to move faster than traditional production allows, this is the kind of system Nexus Motion builds. AI handles the heavy production lift. You stay in the director's chair.
