Title sequence design and compositing for "The Sketch Artist," an upcoming documentary on Lois Gibson, the forensic sketch artist credited with helping solve more cases than anyone in the field.
Layered composites of archival photography, newspaper clippings, mugshots, drone aerials, and interview footage into a cohesive visual language. Heavy texture work with red-tinted color grading, scan line overlays, and distressed typography to set a true crime tone from frame one. Built in After Effects with multi-layered blending and roto work throughout.
The Sketch Artist will make its world premiere at the Austin Film Fest on 10/30 and 11/3 at the Galaxy Theater. Come watch with the the crew that made this documentary as well as our insanely talented subject Louis Gibson.
